Notes of Zoom Meeting Held on 28 November 2023

1 The Chairman welcomed members and new members plus

Iona Sutherland, the new Practice Manager, who had

succeeded Vanessa Young.

2. Apologies were received from Kate Fairbrother, Helen Jeffrey

and Estelle Laybourne.

3 The minutes of the last meeting on 21 August 2023 were

approved. The future of the newsletter was discussed and

It was decided that the PPG might in future take on this project

if text could be assembled and formatted to go out online or in limited printed form.

4 Iona Sutherland, assisted by Calli Hall, explained the working of

the new model for booking appointments. All forms were

referred to a Triage doctor for action according to the need

expressed by the patient. Those patients without computers

could still phone the surgery from 8am onwards and be assisted

in requesting an appointment. It was emphasised, in response to

members questions, that this new system had been imposed by

Government and surgeries now had to implement it.

5 In news from the practice it was confirmed that Dr Sarah

Murray had rejoined the team.

6 in feedback from members various personal issues were raised

and we were reminded that these should be dealt with

separately under the complaints procedure. Dr Crow also

raised issues about the investigation of complaints.

7 The date of the next meeting, probably in February, was to be

decided.
